Traveling Tiny
Going Tiny or Bust!
At HomeFreeLife.com, we’re thrilled to be in the early stages of developing and manufacturing luxury tiny homes. Our journey to embracing a simpler, more intentional lifestyle began with a decision to downsize—and we couldn’t wait to make it happen. So, we jumped in with both feet and purchased our first tiny home, a 1997 National SeaBreeze A-Class Motorhome. While it’s technically an RV, not a traditional tiny home, to us, it was the perfect start. It was 29 feet of freedom and possibility.
We left Seattle, the place we call home, and headed straight for the coast—Long Beach, Washington. It was a spontaneous decision, but it felt right. With 292 square feet of space, three adults, two children, and a whole lot of excitement, we embraced the experience of living small in a big way. We picked up my mother in Eugene, and from there, we explored Oregon’s beautiful coastline, boondocking when needed and visiting stunning beaches. Every moment was filled with awe, peace, and excitement.
Our next adventure took us south to Yellowstone, where we continued our journey of exploration. We met amazing people along the way, saw parts of Oregon that even I—having grown up in Eugene—had never seen before, and deepened our understanding of what it truly means to live HomeFree. It’s not about having a concrete foundation but about building a foundation of friendship, community, and connection. And yes, Zoom calls are part of our new “home” life too!
What I’ve learned in this journey is that I haven’t once missed my king-sized bed, oversized couch, or the 900 square feet of space I once had. Instead, I’ve found joy in living with just the essentials—and a few special items that make it uniquely ours. It’s been liberating, exciting, and peaceful all at once. For the first time, I feel a true separation from the constant pressure of consumerism and comparison. Your home should be your sanctuary—and living small brings us so much closer to that peaceful feeling.
As we continue to explore this amazing journey, I can’t wait to see where we’ll go next, who we’ll meet, and how the tiny community will continue to grow. The freedom, simplicity, and connection are everything we dreamed of—and more.
Until next time, remember: Think Big, Live Small.
